The champion Knicks told ESPN's Shams Charania they won't negotiate contract extensions with Karl-Anthony Towns or Josh Hart until later in the season. Towns is eligible for a four-year extension worth over $276 million; New York's latest offer was reportedly about $200 million over four years. He is due $57 million this season with a $61.1 million player option for next season, while Hart earns $20.9 million with a $22.3 million team option for 2027-28.
