Marius Grigonis, who spent four seasons at Panathinaikos and won the 2024 EuroLeague with them before returning to Zalgiris in June, told BasketNews after Friday's win over ASVEL that there were suspicions about officiating during his time in Greece. He said he can't prove anything, and when asked, pointed to the domestic league rather than the EuroLeague.
"There were definitely a couple of games, maybe even more than a couple, where it wasn't really being hidden. But again, when you're playing, you can't prove it." - Marius Grigonis
"But it's good that these kinds of things eventually come out, because sport is not about that at all." - Marius Grigonis
